The University of Nevada, Reno is looking for a full time Administrative Faculty Position, Coordinator, Advertising Sales and Collections.

The Coordinator is a part of a Student Activities team. The Coordinator reports to and works closely with the Associate Director, Marketing and Media, to manage media advertising sales and collections in support of departmental goals and objectives. The individual oversees all advertising initiatives in support of student publications and coordinates advertising sales and collections for the student newspaper, literary journal, student magazine and radio station. The individual supervises student staff within ASUN (Associated Students of the University of Nevada) /Student Activities. The Coordinator monitors the contractual obligations, sales of advertising, creation of advertisements and collection of revenue.

The Coordinator should have knowledge of:

  • Departmental technology hardware and software
  • Departmental, division, university and higher education policy and procedure
  • Design and layout techniques
  • Student Development theory
  • Advertising sales strategies
  • National, regional and local economic issues that could potentially affect revenue goals and/or collections

The Coordinator will have frequent contact with on campus and off campus advertisers student government (ASUN), student publication leadership, student webmasters, student clubs, Student Activities Staff and Student Services colleagues.

This position requires vision, energy, flexibility, ability to work nights and weekends, a commitment to ethical and moral leadership development of students, supporting student self direction, self governance and demonstrated leadership abilities.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of experience in marketing and advertising across several forms of media including print, web, magazine, radio
