STEM Tutoring Program Coordinator

Description of Duties:

Minimum Requirements.

• Master’s degree in education, STEM, or other related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
• Familiarity with the Supplemental Instruction model
• Knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices including collaborative learning techniques, learning theories, and study strategies applicable to a environment.
• Experience providing training and professional development using facilitative pedagogy
• Experience in developing and implementing successful student program
• Demonstrated experience and ability to hire, train, supervise, and evaluate undergraduate students
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing demands
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the Learning Commons team
• Demonstrated experience and ability to collaborate constructively with campus partners and stakeholders, including undergraduates, graduate students, lecturers, faculty, and staff
• Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
• A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversitioy, equity, and inclusion
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in peer education program development or coordination in an institution of higher education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience conducting assessments and using data for decision-making and planning
• Experience engaging in strategic planning for a unit or program
• Experience working with a diverse student population
