Position Summary:
Responsibilities of supervising, directing and scheduling receipt, disbursement, and inventory of purchased goods to insure adequate supplies for a 3 shift manufacturing operation. Major interactions are with vendors, operational and finance personnel as well as supervising, motivating and training 3 direct reports. Participate in strategic purchasing initiatives as directed by the Materials Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a BS/BA degree, preferably in purchasing or materials management. Specialized courses in shipping//warehouse/inventory materials management or equivalent are preferred.
MRP experience and ISM/APICS certification are pluses.
Must display proficiency in computer applications (spreadsheets /word processing/inventory vendor systems).
