Founded in 1810, The Lawrenceville School of Lawrenceville New Jersey, offers a comprehensive, coeducational program for 810 boarding and day students from grades nine through 12, who come from 29 states and 35 countries. The school is located in central New Jersey in the town of Lawrenceville, five miles south of Princeton, 55 miles south of New York City, and 40 miles north of Philadelphia. The Lawrenceville School is a boarding school with Fall, Winter and Spring trimester system. Science faculty teach a total of 10 trimester sections per year. In addition, they help lead a co-curricular activity in the afternoons for two trimesters, do duty or live in a dormitory, and advise 6-8 students. We are a boarding school so faculty complete their duties any evening of the week and on weekends.
The primary responsibility of a biology teacher is teaching in our freshman biology introductory program and in upper level second year biology or elective program. Strong candidates will be experienced, creative, energetic educators who can focus on both teaching biology and the nature of scientific inquiry.
