KGTV, San Diego's ABC Affiliate, is seeking part-time Operations Technicians.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, stage managing, operation of the WeatherCentral system, character generator, and robotic cameras.
Primary shifts include weekend early morning - other shifts may be available.
Ideal candidates will be able to work effectively under pressure, able to multi-task, possess excellent communication skills, and approach duties with a positive attitude.
Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required. Two or four year college degree preferred.
Previous television station experience necessary. Live newscast production preferred.
Working knowledge of television station production operation equipment.
Working knowledge of studio cameras, teleprompters and lighting.
Must be reliable, dependable, and possess a willingness to learn and be able to work a flexible schedule.
Position involves much studio work and occasional field productions. May include standing for many hours, operating human lift equipment, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, etc. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
