Director of Student Services
Davenport University, a non-profit, private university, specializes in undergraduate and graduate programs in business, information technology and health professions. DU has a solid track record in preparing students for careers, helping advance careers and assisting in professional development. We are seeking a top-notch, service-oriented individual to take on the role of Director of Student Services at our main campus in Grand Rapids.
The Director of Student Services is responsible for the implementation of university-wide processes and procedures related to all aspects of Student Services and meeting and exceeding key measures. The Director will supervise all Student Services staff including a team of 15+ Advisors and the Asst Director of Student Services. Additionally this person serves as the point person for the Grand Rapids location. The Director will direct the implementation of University processes and policies related to Student Services that result in increased persistence, retention, graduation of Davenport students. Managerial skills are needed to ensure that the team is staffed appropriately, new key initiative are embraced and develop fair and consistent relationships.
Candidates must have minimum of a minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience working collaboratively with enrollment/student services personnel, campus leader and other administrators. Previous supervisory experience is critical and needed. Experience in enrollment administrative leadership and achievement of enrollment management/ Student Services goals will prove beneficial in this challenging role. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. The earned degree should be preferably in business, student personnel services or related field.
