Description:

Civil Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; Columbus, OH): Conduct engineering duties on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling project. Apply ArcGIS software and extensions in support of flood risk modeling and mapping and other water resources project needs. Prepare technical reports and deliverables including engineering approaches, calculations and results. Work with a team of Civil and Water Resources Project Managers, Engineers, and GIS specialists supporting various Civil Engineering planning, Water Resources and Flood Risk Management. To support Senior Engineers with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) review. Assist in training and mentoring interns and new Engineers in Training (EITs). 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). Salary range is $106,933 - $123,100 per year.

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Performing detailed one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) steady and unsteady hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS software and applications for Risk Mapping and Assessment projects; Performing hydraulic calculations for open channel and stream systems using HEC-RAS and develop floodplain mapping in RASMapper; Developing rainfall runoff models using HEC-HMS to simulate the precipitation-runoff processes of watershed systems; Applying ArcGIS tools to delineate watersheds, performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and developing floodplain mapping; and Preparing technical reports, deliverables and presentations.

Must have an active P.E. license.

Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 30% is required.

Travel to various international locations up to 20% is required.
