Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is looking to expand our Nuclear Engineering team at the Knolls Laboratory Site. We are seeking a highly motivated early career engineer who is looking to join a dynamic workplace and a great team. Our work includes a combination of field work, engineering analysis, and development of our local maintenance procedures. As part of this multi-discipline team you will have the opportunity to: engineer emergent repairs to aging facility systems, develop operating procedures to support laboratory analysis, perform hazard assessments and develop mitigation strategies. The selected Engineer will be trained as an Engineer of Radiological Work and provide subject matter expertise in areas such as radiological controls and health physics. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience or; Master's degree in a degree in a technical, engineering or science-related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of relevant experience or; Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program or SRE Qualification
