Verve Living Systems is a revolutionary control system for new homes that combines radio frequency and energy harvesting technologies to offer wireless lighting control without the need for batteries. Expansion of the Verve product line has created the need for a home-based Field Technician.
Will work from home and travel extensively (approx. 75%; must have easy access to a major airport) providing training and technical support for an assigned geographical region, customer group or consumer service for the Verve Living Systems business. This includes training internal and external constituents and supporting the day-to-day needs for customer, trade, industry and consumer technical support.
You will:
- Train code inspectors, electrical contractors, builders, installers, maintenance staff, manufacturer's reps and distribution reps to build awareness and credibility for the technology and the brand.
- Assist in first-time and/or difficult installations as needed
- Provide technical assistance for performance, warranty or quality issues
- Work with sales, marketing and engineering teams to address quality and warranty issues
- Provide technical assistance for customer service and the consumer hot-line
- Provide trade show and customer event support
- Provide field intelligence regarding competitors, new products and trends
- Practice continuous improvement principles by actively seeking improved workflow and reduced waste within the organizations.
Requires:
- 3-5 years of electrical trade experience
- experience with relevant industry and/or product categories a plus
- sales or support experience - preferred working directly with clients/customers
- experience with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat is a must
- CAD knowledge a plus
