This position is responsible for Technical Security Policy & Governance.
Duties include:
- Provide oversight and direction for FirstEnergy security policies
- Author, enforce and audit FirstEnergy security policies
- Identify and promote security vulnerability tools
- Provide IT Technical Security consulting to IT and FirstEnergy business groups
- Provide security policy direction to Central Security Administration and the Technical Security Operations Groups
- Define and architect security controls for the enterprise
- Provide Cyber SME on major technology implementations
- Perform Web application security audits
- Ensure FirstEnergy is Complaint with Cyber Standards, from Federal and State agencies
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Project Management, or the equivalent
- 5-7 years of desktop, server, and network background hands-on experience
- CISSP, or Certifications for SANS
- Strong emphasis on written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to learn business processes for a variety of business units
- Off hours support and travel occasionally required
