POSITION OVERVIEW

The UMKC Office of Diversity Access and Equity invites applications for a Director of Affirmative Action.  This is the University's senior management position responsible for directing the development and implementation of campus affirmative action programs.  Duties include but are not limited to:  Provides leadership for ensuring University compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and regulations, including campus and university anti-discrimination policy and procedures.  Provides effective resolution of formal and informal discrimination complaints.  Serves as the university Equal Employment liaison to surrounding communities.  In view of this responsibility, the Director shall have the commitment from the highest levels of the University administration, faculty and staff that the University supports equal opportunity and affirmative action and will foster a climate that is welcoming and appreciative of diversity among the University community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

SALARY AND BENEFITS

UMKC offers a competitive salary, $63,648 - $80,000, affordable medical and dental plans (no waiting periods), 403(b) savings plan, tuition assistance (75% of educational fees paid for enrollment at University of Missouri), and University paid long-term disability and life insurance benefits.
